Korean Food Festival @ JNU
A Korean Food Festival was organized by the Korean Centre of SLL&CS, JNU in SL Lawns on 16th October, 2008. This was a part of ongoing Hangeul Week Celebrations of the Centre. The students of JNU including the Koreans living in JNU and outside enjoyed the lip-smacking delicacies of Korea like Kimchi, Kimbap, Phibimbap etc. An Korean Artifact & Calligraphy Exhibition was also organized between 13-15 October. On 17th October a Korean Play will be presented by the students of the centre in SSS Auditorium, JNU.
Hangeul Week Seminar 2008
The Korean Centre of SLL&CS, JNU orgainized a seminar on “India and Korea in 21st Century” on 15th October, 2008 as a part of its ongoing Hangeul Week (Korean Script Week) celebrations. The seminar was chaired by Prof. George of Japanese Centre while Mrs. Vyjyanti Raghavan delivered the welcome address. Dr. P.N.Ajita, Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Pushpa Tiwari and Mr. Kaushal Kumar were present in the seminar as faculty members. About Me
I am Satish Chandra Satyarthi, from nalanda district of Bihar which is known for one of the oldest universities of the world i.e. Nalanda University. Presently, I am doing my graduation in Korean Language from JNU. My hobbies are reading literature and learning languages. I like to participate in debates, seminars and writing compititions. In my leisure time, I love to listen to music from the golden era of Hindi films. In future I want to open quality educational institutions in the villages and small cities of my home state to improve the bad condition of education there.
